My newest item

This wide headband is redesigned to feature a 'Sweet Cupcake' pin/magnet which can also be worn as a magnet brooch and the headband worn seperately. You can include in this order any design of PBLD's pin, magnet or brooch with no extra shipping cost.

'Sweet Cupcakes' come in chocolate with white frosting and an orange flower, or vanilla with lavender frosting and a deep purple violet - your choice. If there is a certain color combination you would like, please contact me via my Etsy store and I can make it up for you!

My 'Sweet Cupcakes' are magnet backed pins/brooches for headbands, purses, coats, shirts and hats. They are felted on a felted sweater scrap base - new and recycled, pretty and useful - what more does anyone want?! How can a brooch or pin be useful? Well, I use mine as a wearable pin cushion and Etsy advertisement! LOL

'Sweet Cupcakes' are 2" tall and 1 1/4" wide. The magnet that is next to your skin is encased in a tiny, soft fabric tab to make handling easier.

My craft booth at the FSAM

I am so happy with my new banner of bright colors and happy triangles - all made from the pile of fabrics that I posted last week!

FeltingFever says: "Lovely, so bright and cheery!"

rosethistleartworks says: "Very festive and eye catching!"

When I'm not using it for my craft booths, this banner is in the kid's area of the Hastings Public Library drawing attention to the new display of reading posters gracing the walls :)

A new body?!

My dear hubby rescued two of these mannequins for me... So fun and sweet of him but what on earth am I supposed to do with the second one?! Hmm... a hanging lamp maybe?!!

fabric

*Swoon* it happens, drop into the fabric part of a store and start falling in love with fabrics. . . a bit of this, a bit of that . . . the cart gets full and the husband's face gets . . . . . . . .well, you all know the LOOK. I got just a scant 1/2 yard of each fabric for a pendant banner to hang on my booth and maybe brighten a corner of my home at other times. . .

Has anyone had much luck with heavy duty magnets instead of traditional pinbacks?

Update: The magnet backs are working well and selling even better!

Here is a comment from a happy pumpkin owner: Wonderful, wonderful. Already got a compliment my first time wearing it!! Great transaction and seller. Thanks.

craft show - Middleville left table top

Ready doing her normal for a craft show. . . laying around until someone interesting wants to pet her. I'm wondering if I should have put up atleast one side curtain to create a blank wall behind the hanging purses. . . well considering that this is my first stand alone (not farmer's market table) booth, I'm pretty happy.

Husband's dog agility jump on the left side of the booth and daughter's barbed wire wreath hanging on the tent post on the right. . . didn't have either of the little boys along, so I didn't have to design room for their sculpty clay creations.

FSAM Sept. 7

My youngest son made the trip to FSAM with me (boys fighting to go to Craft Shows to sell with MOM, don't you LOVE it!!) and sold one of his Pokemon type sculpty creatures!!!! He was so excited and then played the harmonica with the local guitarist, he had the harmonica less than 24 hours and was playing for Money (he made all of a $1 tip). How exciting for a young boy!!!

Watching the children stretch and grow is so rewarding. . .

Artists for Animals at FSAM booth

 Photobucket
My middle son and I are featured in this picture from FSAM blog. Aprons, purses, barbed wire art, needle felt jewelry, and needle felt sculpture. My son is working on his Twisted View Sculpty Shop items, which was next to me and I set up a Am. Pit Bull Informational Booth on the other side of that.

We have even been thanked by people for having Ready attend these event with us and giving the APBT breed some much needed positive exposure. Not that having her along is a hardship, she is very well trained and a joy to show off.

LOL, she is better than candy for drawing people's interest, whither they like dogs or the breed or not.
